You're right.
All that "thumbs up" and "likes" are ridiculous.
How can anybody fall for that stuff?
We all know the only goal in life is to make it on the front page of Reddit.

Well, I hope you will not be shocked, but I do not have much of a life. I live for responses in this forum. I've done so much research on what may stimulate responses to my posts, and still I get no responses, NOR respect. If it continues much longer [another 13 years] I am going to quit the forum.

Then you'll all be sorry!!

My view is that some post - not that it is boring, rather just that, I don't have anything to contribute.

I'm pretty sure you know I am kidding about the "boring post" or "not getting any responses." The phenomenon I am interested in is how certain posts get thousands of responses.

Good to see you posting anyway. I know you are occupied with the new "friend" in your life and wish you both a happy new year.

Kate

I have always been intrigued by obscure associations . Things like, " why do we park in a driveway and drive in a parkway?"

I live alone and need to share, so I post here. I figure others might wonder about things like that. Like my post recently about having ones mouth washed out with soap.

I think back about one I posted years ago about asking what direction one stirs coffee, clockwise or counter clockwise.
