I am well aware I do. It doesn't bother me when after I make a post, two weeks later it will have had 12 views and one response. It doesn't make me sad or stop me from making more boring posts I just like contributing and reading other persons boring posts too [j/k]
Well, a few times I make a post like this one and just over 24 hours later it has thousands of views!! Reboot explained once why that is but anyhoo, it is a kick in the pants and a wonderment.

Hmmmm.... I think maybe a catchy 'subject' line makes a difference? (I'm soooooo tempted now to try that now! Something along the line of 'Fiscal Cliff averted! Dems and Repubs finally agree! )
If you have text in the subject title or content that is popular the web search engine spider thingys pick up on it and index it so that when peeps Google stuff yours comes up as a hit. I think.
Most likely, it's because certain (possibly randomly chosen by keyword) forum posts get displayed on the front page of the MacTech site, which in turn also shows up in people's RSS feeds. That's a lot of eyeballs who just want to see what's going on. They don't respond because the target audience of the MacTech site are IT geeks and high-end users—which is decidedly NOT the demographic of these forums.
In short, "we bore the crap out of them."
