Haven't heard which handgun he used. The Glock or Sig. Haven't heard which models they were either or what magazine clips he used. The rifle , I heard, was found in his trunk. Not used. It's still being mention as being at the scene. Make more interesting news.
If we don't count our blessings We are just wasting our time
The gunman forced his way into the kindergarten-through-fourth-grade school, authorities said. He took three guns into the school - a Glock and a Sig Sauer, both semiautomatic pistols, and a .223-caliber Bushmaster rifle, according to an official who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The weapons were registered to his slain mother.
At least one parent said Lanza's mother was a substitute teacher at the school. But her name did not appear on a staff list. And the official said investigators were unable to establish any connection so far between her and the school.
Nothing works here. The arguments veer from gun control to finally understanding the mentally ill. Neither one is a solution all by itself. We've tipped the scales, and we pay the price. Personal freedom vs. our collective safety? Sell that to somebody who's running for public office.
Try selling it to me.
I can't remember the last time I cried when I looked at the front page of my Houston Chronicle. All I can do is say my prayers and know that they are a tiny part of an infinite number.
It ain't much, but it's all I've got.
