When you've got crazier former clients? Got this email last night from the same TP wing nut who's charming holiday Xmas party invitation I posted recently (BTW, the emphasis is his):

Quote:
Subject: 35 states and counting

This, like many things, is just not the way it is supposed to be. Children of congress members do not have to pay back their college student loans. How nice! Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans.

This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop? . Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. This is an idea that we should address.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws.

The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.

Of course, the inclusion of Fox News in his rant was the give-away, and a quick Snopes.com check validated my skepticism. So I replied to him with the same link and the message, "Ahem." His reply to me was "You mean 'Amen'." crazy

It's bad enough when someone doesn't get it. But when they refuse to get it, well, the conversation is ovah.

Funny.. I have an aunt who once a month or two... I hafta send her a snopes link to debunk some BS pro-GOP baloney she is perpetuating. It does absolutely no good. She lives in her bubble. Granted, she has to be in her mid 80s... but I believe the mold was cast long ago.

In a galaxy far, far away.... laugh

LOL. I think you saw the comment my cousin made about my space helmet pic on Facebook yesterday. Same deal. He's my first cousin, we were attached at the hip as kids and though college, got stoned together a half dozen times a week, and — hair and height notwithstanding — we even look alike. After college he became a "Christian Jew" and moved to MO, where he gradually morphed into a right wing evangelist. He's convinced Obama is the Devil incarnate and all Libs are the spawn of Beelzebub! eek laugh

See how dangerous drug use is, Steve? If you don't believe me, check this out.

I guess your cousin was lucky that he didn't suffer from getting high. Just accept the lord, man, accept the lord!

wink

Whenever I send a snopes clarification to my right leaning family or friends they don't believe it because they say snopes is a liberal leaning site. crazy

Can't pick family I guess.

I always trust Snopes … but who died and made them King? laugh Snopes has always been the 'Nate Silver' of the conspiracy/wacko-email fact checking world. I can understand why rightwingers would automatically accuse them as Liberal Bias because it regularly debunks 100% of their horrible accusations about liberals and Obama.

And if more proof that the right wing doesn't listen outside the echo chamber is needed...

This former client holds training classes for the equipment he sells throughout the year, and I produced a poster-size calendar for him for the past few years. In addition to the class dates, it includes regional trade events, hunting season dates, and all of the Christian holidays. Last year, I asked him if he wanted to include any other religious holidays, Kwanza, Rosh Hashanah, Ramadan, etc. He never answered me.

Now, despite my resigning his account several months ago, he just emailed me to ask if I'd do his 2013 calendar, and he attached a list of all the new dates.

Ok, this is a test. I asked him again about including other holidays. If he says yes, I'll take his $1,000 and do the calendar. If he declines or doesn't answer by Friday, I'll tell him my answer is the same as my party RSVP: No-10-Q! crazy
