Seagate Momentus XT 500 GB 2.5 Inch Solid State Hybrid Drive for my Mini? It's cheaper than the 250 I've been eying for about a year. Anyone have any experience with these hybrid drives?

Drive arrived today, but I don't have time to do the swap until next Thursday.

How hard is it to open up the Mini and install the new drive?

Not too tough, but it does take several minutes. I can probably do it in about an hour from shut down to boot. I won't have an uninterrupted hour until I'm off work and home alone on Thursday next. Of course, there's the unplugging and replugging the peripherals, etc. and getting things restored from the TM backup.

That little video made it seem pretty easy--but I can see that there are steps that would be daunting. Good luck doing it--and have fun!

I've opened up my wife's mini twice - once to change the HD and once to upgrade the RAM. I've opened mine once for a RAM upgrade.
