I am having difficulty with a cable I bought so I can get HD on my computer from EyeTV HD. I went to a forum on DirecTV for help and they recommended I buy this specific DirecTV cable [H2510PIN].I've talked to DirecTV about trying for HD with EyeTV and they tell me it is not possible. DirecTV sells the H2510PIN cable. I got mine from Amazon.

i needed a place to put a couple of pictures so I can give a link on a post at DirecTV Forum. I didn't get the attach an image trick there.

Say Jim -- Jimbo -- Reboot -- aren't you glad I am not bugging you with this one wink The DirecTV forum seems like a nice bunch of folk and maybe we'll sort this out. I hope so. I bought a new box [HD] first one in many years. My old one was a Plextor and still works. I shouldn't have tempted fate wink

This is the cable I am using. http://www.amazon.com/Directv-H25-Component-Video-Cable/dp/B006R9O2PC/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_t_2

Yeah, I would have had no idea. I read your question and gave it the Tim Allen huuuh?

I've still got the Plextor 402 also. I do wish it did HD though. Let me know if you get it working and how.

Could be. It's got all the right search terms for a lonely bot to take interest. Look at the post count for 'New iMacs to be Announced “Soon”'.

It is working in HD on my computer. A one cent cable from Amazon with $4.99 shipping.

EyeTV said it could not be done.

DirecTV said it could not be done.

I done it with the help of the forum folks at DirecTV.

The end of the cable with the red, green, blue, red and white ends. Hm, I looked and thought maybe the two red are not identical. I had them hooked up but got a funky half colored picture. I switched them and HD !!

Here is a shot of my TV and the same pic on my 24" iMac EyeTV

Look at it in another window.

Yes, it does. Do that mean it isn't HD?

HD enough for me, anyway.

What say you.
