Apparently the Governor passed a new law banning holding any sign at all in the capital - this new law is what they are being arrested for.
However the new law does contradict Wisconsin Bill of Right which clearly states that people have the right for peaceful protest in public spaces - which the 1st floor of the capital is open to the public.
So if you got your message printed on a t-shirt, you would not be in violation of the law, because you would not be "holding a sign"?
