3 - 5 minutes before it resolves.

Still taking its time. It could be a localized issue due to the weather from TS Isaac here in Florida, but all other sites are loading quickly for me.

I believe this is localized.

We'll see if it persists over the next couple of days. My connection is running at optimal speed at 10mbs (actually running a bit "hot" at just over 10mbps). If it continues stalling with this site over the next few days, I'll let you know.

Thanks.

BTW: I'm thinking it's not the connection to you, but a peering issue between your connection and ours.

Okay here with his problem, all content loads and I can browse, but the pages always have trouble loading one final item. According my Activity window it's http://forums.mactech.com/images/background.jpg that it is looking for. It's looking for a MacTech.com file. It gives the spinning gear thingy in the address bar for a minute until it times out.

This has been going on for a long time. It's the issue I mentioned below in my thread starter.

http://forums.applecentral.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/577996/

Just thought I'd mention it again.

Try a different DNS server? 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.3.

Yeah, there's definitely something wrong with the image path... clicking on the direct link to the background image ends up with 2 or 3 minutes of load attempt, then times-out.
