Just 5 days ago I bought a new Brother MFC and set it up on my network. Naturally, printing and Brother's scan software works as advertised, but VueScan, which is way more robust, wouldn't see the scanner. So I sent a quick email to Ed asking if this was a VueScan or a Brother issue. He replied a half hour later to tell me that there was an issue with networked Brother MCFs and that he hoped to have a solution in a few weeks.
Just got another email from Ed directing me to v9.1.4. And BAM! The new there's the Brother in the input window!
So define "responsive" as Hamrick, because he apparently defines "a few weeks" as five days!
