I find the whole wikileaks phenomenon intriguing. I am sure many have heard he is seeking asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Many are shaking heads because the legal process against him was far from over and he still had time and a chance to beat charges. His choice of embassy has confused as well because Ecuador is a very repressive, autocratic regime, which one would think goes against his "freedom of info at any cost" philosophy.
I think he chose Ecuador on the fly b/c it's one of the few countries he hadn't really pissed off with his leaks.

Apparently the Ecuadorian president said something vaguely supportive a while back. He's in London on extradition charges to Sweden for sexual assault/misconduct.
_________________________ I used to think it was terrible that life was unfair. Then I thought what if life were fair and all of the terrible things that happen came because we really deserved them? Now I take comfort in the general unfairness and hostility of the universe.
