Russia and China have decided to invite Iran to use its influence in settling the crisis in Syria should Kofi Ananís plan for peace continue to be derailed by insurgents. Their decision not to permit regime change in Damascus follows the unconscionable debacle in Libya when Natoís military intervention there led to the murder of Col Gadaffi followed by detention without trial, torture and summary execution of civilians by the Western backed rabble who took over.
What is the alternative? I am not at all sure there should be intervention, that's for certain. I felt the same about Libya. I hope more of Assad's army defects and eventually he will no longer be able to hold onto power. Many will die, but many will die in any kind of intervention. I am just glad I don't have to make these kind of decisions.

Three countries I do not trust.A real practical solution would be the U.S. to get sort of involved but this will not happen.Iran would love to see Syria fall so they can takeover asap. This would be a disaster for the Middle East if this occurs. Also our gas prices would sky rocket to.This problem Syria is confronted with is really pitiful indeed.
