April is international guitar month, after being in the entertainment business since 1962 I have owned some fantastic guitars over the years. Starting with my first guitar, a Silvertone from Sears...sometime around 1958.. other notables include my current Martin D-18 that was born in 1974 that has a brighter than normal tone....others include an American Harmony Arch Top in 1964, Fender American Telecaster Pink Paisley, Peavey T-15 natural finish that hung heavy on the neck if the gig was more than 4 hours...and a natural finish G&L Telecaster.
Had some interesting foreign made guitars...a Kent from Japan with yellow/brown sunburst sometime in the early 60's, a Norma, she was a great gold metal flake Stratocaster copy, couple of Ovation one ultra one adam, a blonde 12 string Hammond made in Norway...several prop guitars that fell apart on stage (no since destroying a good guitar)
ah the good old days...some days I get the itch to hit the road again...but....
