Hello all. I have been thinking for some time about building a technical reference library for Mac and Apple products. Mac OSX. iOS. Hardware and software. Mac troubleshooting. Etc. What do you think that the 10 or so best books to get started with such a project are?
As far as a list of all models of every Mac gadget and it's OS and specs.. there is Mactracker. http://www.mactracker.ca/ It is free and AFAIK gives data on every device ever made by Apple.
For technical repairs, that would be another matter. Maybe you should team up with Mactracker and do the other half of the equation.. the technical repair/troubleshooting part.
To keep up with all of Apples products and specs and troubleshooting and repairs/problems, etc. is more than a 1 man job in my estimation.
I understand this is an huge task, and that there is no book covering all Mac models, etc. So to put it in other words, what are in your opinion the best 5 or so technical books on Mac hardware (if there are any), Mac OSX, and perhaps iOS?
