U-Verse was out last week and redid all the coax connections for my television signal. While here he also dropped in a new router. That was 2 weeks ago and everythings been cool till yesterday when I keptp having problems with my Airport? internet? set up. I show 4 bars in AP menu bar... but after about 5 minutes I lose connection to the internet ( still shows 4 bars). I can quit AP and restart and it's fine... for 5 more minutes. I tried rearranging the 3 public DNS numbers but no luck. Help... I can't frag in COD like this... it quits after 5 minutes...
As long as I am typing and surfing it seems fine... but playing CoD craps out after a couple of minutes. makes no sense to me.
iPhone and iPad seem to surf fine. Plus my wifes PC is hardwired and seems fine. I used to get this with them since you have to use their gateway and it was originally set up with their DNS. I read up on their forums that it was a problem with images hanging on load... and using public DNS helped. It did. But this is funky in that playing CoD doesn't require any image loading.
I use Level 3 and Google too. I doubt it's DNS though, I second the Airport card. I had an iMac that would do that, AP randomly go out, more so when doing a big download or something that taxed the card, then turning AP off and on would bring it back.
What is the model identifier in System Profiler. Laptop, iMac? I forget.
