Did anyone watch the Pro Bowl this year? More like the No Bowl.

We turned it off during the second quarter and put a movie on. What a farce. Obviously no one tried hard, they didn't want to chance getting hurt. The extra points were a joke. The ball was snapped and the defense just stood up and held up their hands, no rush allowed. It was comical.

Most plays were the same, they were just going through the motions. They were just pushing each other, no serious pass coverage or hitting. What I read on one forum was funny, Blitzing? Hell, they don't even pass rush. The linemen just tickle each other until the ball is thrown." I think it's time to do away with the game and just award the players symbolically.

It's due to the rules;

No motion or shifting by the offense
Defense must run a 4-3 at all times
No press coverage except inside the 5 yard line
No blitzing
Not allowed to rush a punt, PAT or FG attempt

Surprised they allowed tackling and didn't just make it touch.

Here's a good perspective on the whole thing if they want to showcase the best players.

Most of this year problem is that the Pro Bowl was held before the Super Bowl. <-- to be honest not that much Giants and Pats players were going anyway.

Bottom line.
The pro bowl should always be after the SB.

Should mean something more than just a freaking Hawaiian Vacation for the players. Really the Pro Bowl means absolutely NOTHING.
