My newest grandchild. Miranda Ann was born Saturday at 3:30pm weighing in at a healthy 9 lbs 11 oz. and 201/2 inches long. A healthy set of lungs and lots of dark hair. Pretty bright eyed at 3 hours old. She's a keeper.....*G*.
Mom hasn't been able to fully enjoy her yet as she is suffering from a spinal headache that they can't seem to get her any relief from.
Oh, Mary! She is a living' doll! Maybe because I don't have kids, but most newborns are kinda funny looking ~ But Miranda is just a jewel. Congratulations to your entire family, and I sure hope Mom's feeling better by now.

Thanks everyone, we think she's pretty special alright. I wish I could say everything was perfect, but my daughter is still suffering with a horrible headache. A head scan late last night shows air and spinal fluid in the brain causing this headache. They've consulted a neurologist who suggested just allowing the body to reabsorb things on it's own. In the meantime she's on some pretty heavy pain meds and oxygen to try to speed things up and keep the nausia at bay. It's been pretty rough. I took her son to see her this morning and she cried......both from missing him and from feeling so much pain. She's not able to lift her head off the pillow before she becomes ill from the pain. Please say a prayer for her recovery.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. My daughter and her daughter were released from the hospital late yesterday afternoon after Emily underwent an epidural blood patch. She experienced immediate relief from the severe headache after that procedure. The lingering pain is likely from lack of sleep and not eating well the past few days. She needs to be cautious for a couple weeks so as not to dislodge the blood clot, but otherwise is doing well. I'm so grateful that all seems to be going better. I hope it continues this way so we can all enjoy that new little one. She's my second grandchild, her big brother is 2 1/2 and is thrilled with her....today.....hahaha. We'll see if that lasts once he realizes she's here to stay.

Thanks everyone, the prayers are working. She's on some new meds and things are improving. She has to take it easy for a while yet, but at least the future looks brighter.
Mirandas' big brother is fascinated by her at this point. I hope it never wears off.

My grandkids still like each other, nearly four years after little sister came along. I bet your grandkids will continue their good, loving relationship, too.
Beautiful children.
