+3 years later - Economic disaster averted; Dow has gone from 7700 to 12,900 ( UP 65%). Unemployment DOWN from near 10% to now 8.3%. Almost 2 years of consecutive growth. GM recovers and now is poised to take back the #1 spot as world's largest automaker.

Is it perfect? - NO - housing still in a slump, deficits still very large, but these long term economic woes can't be fixed in 3 or 4 or maybe even 8 years- no one can tell. (I think it'll take 5-6). BUT it's a helluva lot better than what he inherited (i.e. improved significantly) and most importantly ask,
"Does anyone really want it give it back to the house-wrecking crew that led us from surpluses to record deficits " ??
