According to my sources, the Jobless rate in Feb 2009 (when BO took over- lets not count the days from 1/21/2009 until 2/1/2009) was 8.1%... so we're back to where it was when he became POTUS. BUT realisticically, he can't turn things around on a dime... takes time... years... so even this comparison isn't accurate.
This fall when the GOP tries to stick the economy on BO, I sure hope the DNC has a clear, effective message that all this was GW and the Wall ST-Bankers mess and BO actions have only improved the economy from the near brink of disaster. He's the rescuer, not the demolition man W was.
I keep asking people, "Do you really want to give it back to the drunkards that caused the wreck ??"
And to respond to Mitt's claim he wants jobs for middle class people... really Mitt - what kind of job- WalMart greeter and burger flippers ?? :-P
Truthfully, i'm not sure if i understand this headline. Maybe it's because i'm not a native English speaking person.
It sounds/reads like what i'd imagine [NYT] propaganda "DOUBLESPEAK" would.
What are they saying? That "Hope a Recovery Is Blooming" is responsible for "Job Gains"? Usually "Job Gains" would Provoke/give_rise_to Hope for recovery.
On top of my confusion the Hope is that "a Recovery Is Blooming". ( ) I don't even see the buds of the recovery, much less a bloom! At this dull rate this recovery, when it arrives at full-bloom, is not going to be very vivid, colorful, lively, or intense.
Somebody please, how am i to interpret this headline?

More than 240,000 jobs gained last month. Unemployment has edged down to 8.3% — the lowest in three years. What's confusing you? Does your self-professed weak grasp of English* also diminish your math? The headline is about the optimism offered by the new Labor Dept. numbers. No spin. No Propaganda. No doublespeak. Does that help? There will be an oral quiz tomorrow morning.
*Doesn't seem to blunt your rather articulate anti-Obama/U.S. rants and copy/paste activity. I'm just sayin'...

I'm saying that i dont understand the title "Job Gains Reflect Hope a Recovery Is Blooming" and that it doesn't make sense to me. Maybe Your English comprehension is not good enough to tell if the title is flawed or not. In that case you need not answer, i'll understand. Maybe someone else can tell. Maybe somebody else can explain this title for an article about job statistics.
And since i only cut & paste, for once on these forums, i'll give you my personal opinion on something and that is that, judging from the title, i'd doubt that article is very reliable and it probably consists of pro Obama propaganda and half truths. There you have it, at your request.

If you can't understand the obvious — which I just gave you on a silver platter — there's nothing more I can say that will help your own miscomprehension of English, except, perhaps, Rosetta Stone®. Capicé, indeed.

Hey, you've grown up to be just like your teacher km. Congratulations. I hear you're calling him again.
And well, the rest was too high over my head! Thanks anyway.
