It never ceases to floor me that so many people don't understand the following ~
1) Abortions are a small part of PP, and not a single, solitary fkn' dime of taxpayer $ pays for it. That's the law.
2) PP prevents countless unwanted pregnancies, and thus abortions. And they do this for women who can't afford our Health Care Guaranteed To Bleed You Dry In America system.
3) Bonus ~ PP covers breast cancer, from diagnosis to treatment to follow through. Again for women who can't afford our Health Care Guaranteed To Bleed You Dry In America system.
Komen deserves every single piece of well aimed shlt bad thing that will rain down on its side of the Fence That Shouldn't Even Fkn' Exist.

Because the right wing noise machine makes damn sure the uninformed-and-like-it-that-way don't understand.
And, IMHO, PP has a brand problem of their own. For anyone too lazy or apathetic to look beyond the name, "Planned Parenthood" offers no clue to their broader mission of women's health and wellness. The name implies little beyond reproductive issues, making them vulnerable to every pro-life dog whistle and agenda on the planet.
If there's an upside to this disgusting development, the global PR tsunami and mainstream media coverage may help mitigate the brand issue above.

I heard that PP abortion activities is like 2-3% of the whole organization... is that accurate? I'm sure even many of those are needed from a medical standpoint.
Yes, this is tragic in one sense, BUT good that PP donations are UP and they're getiing + publicity from the F-up. I think I'm going on line to donate, it's a great cause... but if for no other reason to PO the far right azzholes !!

Yeah, abortions are only 3% of their offered services. I think it was Sen. Kyle who stood on the Senate floor last year and unapologetically reversed the numbers and claimed that PP is 97% abortions — and when called on it, said it wasn't "intended to be a factual statement." WTF?
Best practice for presenting a case is: 1. Tell 'em what you're gonna tell 'em. 2. Tell 'em. 3. Tell 'em what you told 'em.
I guess for Conservatives its: • Tell 'em you're gonna lie. • Lie. • Tell 'em you lied.

See Oxford: Pedaling, Back ...
What a shame -- they've heavily (and likely permanently) damaged a perfectly good reputation for virtually no reason at all ...
The silver lining, I guess, is a learning moment on how acidic the abortion issue can be for even those just dipping in a toe (and pulling back a stump) ...
