Actually, this was published in more reputable science rags than just HuffPo. And another thing - sarcasm aside - the while point of thsi study was probably more about intelligence and people's prejudiced and racist views and. just in general about the ability to cope with difference and the uncertain, and conservative views. However, most papers and rags I've seen running this today just took the word 'conservative' and ran their headlines with that. Just to get more views. And this in fact covering yet another science article in a rather stupid manner. The actual study is still very valid and scientific. IIRC, This is a psychological study.

.. Huffington Post is my second read of the day, after MacTech. I do not see HP as anything but a titillating preview for leads/links to in-depth articles/sources about things I read there. I follow them if I want more information and to see if I might agree/disagree with the concepts presented in HP.
The original post this thread was about information from:
Gordon Hodson, Department of Psychology, Brock University, 500 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada L2S 3A1 E-mail: ghodson@brocku.ca
There are pdf links to the full text with supplemental information, etc. on that page.
I found it all very interesting. I agreed with some info, was not certain about some, and dismissed a little too! Great exercise for the brain. ;-)
HuffPo is a great place to get leads to information around the U.S., the World, and about the Universe. [If YOU have a favorite, let me know. I'd like to give it a try.] It is a jumping off spot and I heartily recommend it if you have the time and inclination to indulge. Saves a lot of time looking up individual info pages to get a well rounded look at the World today, yesterday, and the future.

. And now in the interest of FULL DISCLOSURE -- heh, heh, heh:
I also daily read the Drudge Report. I have in addition watched EVERY GOP debate on TV or streaming internet.
It is important to me that I keep up with what the other side is doing/thinking. They may come up with a good idea now and then--just kidding--or not! ;-)
Most of the time I reinforce the beliefs I now have. But I also know that a person from the "other side" may be the leader some day, and I feel I would like to have ideas on what maybe to expect.

You nailed the thumb on the head. Itwas meant to compare the racism and others took off with it to fester their own pimples.
