six_of_one Pool Bar Registered: 04/19/02 Posts: 3591 Loc: Alexandria, VA	I don't have a problem with a base on the Moon per se -- I'm a big supporter of space exploration -- but what exactly would a manned station there actually be productively doing? There have been plenty of proposals since at least the '70s that involve such things as commercially mining raw materials and whatnot. But to propose a presence there merely for the sake of flying an American flag on the moon is just silly.
