I just wanted to let you all know about Pops. I emailed him today after NG4 asked about him and received this reply;
I'm sorry to inform you that Pops passed away on November 30, from complications of lung cancer. He enjoyed the internet so much and it kept him occupied as his health failed. Sincerely, Mrs. Pops.
He will be missed. He was always such a gentleman.

. He was here so long. I believe he got together with other MacCentral users in Real Space in Southern California in the forum's infant years. he took credit as the OFI'S CLUB FOUNDER.
A very sweet man who had a kind word for everyone. I'm sitting here in the coffee shop when I received Mrs. Earl's email and was really hocked to read it.
Bye Pops, See ya later.
Much Love to the missus, Kate/Ethel

Really sorry to hear about Pops. He was an early member at the old MC forums and a gentleman the whole time I've known him on the net.
I barely missed meeting him in person sometime in the late '90s I believe. He and Mrs. Pops were travelling through SoCal and he went by Bakersfield. He couldn't get ahold of me on the phone in time, although he did try. He had already met up with Terry Lyons in the LA area.
Like I say, a real gentleman, even through all the troll wars in the early days of MC. Nice guy with a good sense of humor and decency.
