Marv, not trying to pile on , BUT if we do this - then we can't claim to be better or the Best nation in the world... this just puts us on the level of the Taliban and barbarians ! It shows we have no control, we just react like 12 years olds !! NOT very Marine-like IMHO !! More like Cub Scouts !!
We can't have it both ways - that's my point !! Which do you prefer ?
Not like that at all. I know exactly what I said at the beginning of the thread. TYVM. It's only splitting hairs if you are trying to make it something it ain't.
Are you telling me you can't see that happening in a conversation? I say something.. you say "you always say that".. I say I've never said it before. Kind of implicit that it's not including the one time I JUST said it. Must I really say.. I've never said it before I just said it a moment ago?
Anyways... I have never said it to marv prior to this conversation to the best of my knowledge. Hope that clears it up for ya.
Ya. Not rollin at all... just being uber-specific since it seems there was too much room for interpretation.
Now, back to the subject....
Should we be ok with desecrating dead soldiers bodies? Uh... no. Not in Nam.. or Desert Storm or any war. Have some respect for the dead.. and have some respect for them fighting for what they believe in ... even if it isn't your perspective. This is the kind of self-righteous obnoxious behavior that makes the US look like crap to the rest of the world.
Firstly were you ever in a war? Did you see bodies and legs mangled? Faces blown off every where you go.Your best buddies dying in front of you and these enemies laughing in your face and you cannot do a dam thing about it with these majors or captains up your ass if you did. Then tell me about your great humanitarian ways you claim you have .
