She is 3 in a week and you would be amazed at how well kids do with Apple products. She runs my wifes and my iPhones like it was built into her mainframe. I have reservations about the klutziness of kids... but we are going to forge ahead with an Otterbox or some such. I can't begin to tell you what a great educational tool our phones have been for her. She plays talking flash card games in the car on the way to school and sings songs and watched Dora and does puzzles, etc. Pretty damn cool, some of these games. Waaay beyond what I had as a kid.. I just had plastic army men and firecrackers..hehehehe. Oh.. and Lost in Space and Captain Kangaroo. She already knows more at almost 3 than I knew at 5.
Both are rugged. It seems like the stand for the Otter box is the front cover, but the stand for the Griffin is a separate piece. That's the way the pics look to me.
Although it seems that the Griffin has hinged covers for the ports, don't know if the Otterbox covers the ports. I like the covered ports, keeps out the PBJ and such.
Also the Griffin has a built in screen protector to seal the front.
Yeah, but the protector has complaints that in spots it "bubbles" an adds a space between that makes it hard to swipe in that area. That's the one I'm going for BTW.
That is also something i was reading about.. plus it makes it rather heavy. I would go with Griffins Survivor but theirs offers no screen protection. Duh.. that's the part I'm most worried about.
