#565413 - 10/06/11 06:25 PM Having to force quit the Finder a lot in Lion
John Rougeux Here? Registered: 11/06/08 Posts: 5031	So whenever I drag/drop a file to say another HD, the file "sticks" to the finder window, so no matter what I do, it's always there in the same spot. Move to iTunes..there it is. Safari, etc. here's a screenshot of one example: So, I have to force quit the Finder to clear it. Any ideas on what's causing it?

Jim_ aka Reboot Registered: 04/21/02 Posts: 11340 Loc: Columbus OH	Does the file copy okay? Launch Console, All Messages, Clear Display, try a copy. Any errors popping up in Console? Repair all HD's, then Safe Boot the machine, Shift key, one of the things it does is run Disk Utility to check the internal drive. Reboot after it starts back up. Throw away Finder prefs. You'll have to "Go to Folder" in the Finder Go menu, /Users/your user name/Library to get to the now invisible in Lion Library folder. Open the Preferences folder and toss the Finder prefs. John Rougeux Here? Registered: 11/06/08 Posts: 5031	Hehe...oops, yeah. Dr J called it. We went to my nephew's wedding on Saturday then to Panama City Beach Florida on Sunday. This is on my iMac. Reboot, I will give that a try when I get home Saturday or Sunday
