I'm trying to set up my new Macbook Pro but I'm running into a couple of problems.
My desktop (iMac) is running Lion 10.7.1, as is the new Macbook. But I can't get them to connect. using Migration Assistant, the Pro just keeps trying to "find other computer." Both are connected t the same network with wi-fi option.
So I said, well, I'll just transfer some apps by jump drive. But when I insert the newly loaded jump drive in the USB on the Pro, it doesn't show up on my desktop screen.

When in Finder (Desktop)on the MBP, under Finder > Preferences > General check the check boxes to have it show the USB drive, etc. Do you have File Sharing enabled on the iMac?
