Actually, it's a Holden. But if they wanted to, GM could probably re-badge it as any of their brands except maybe Caddy or Corvette. I take it you don't like Pontiacs?

I bought nothing but new American made cars until the late '80s... all but one were General Motors. The one exception was a Dodge van... got soo fed up with it, I gave it to my brother-in-law who was a mechanic by trade so it worked out well for him.

Ran the gamut from Olds Toronado to TransAM... and then I discovered an orphaned/used 280ZX and was amazed at the quality and dependability of that little devil. Currently driving a 300ZX in mint condition and am still amazed. Doubt I'll ever own another American made vehicle.

Well then, do I have the car for you! Australian built classic in the making. Whadda deeeeeal. (I should be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and white loafers, huh.) Seriously, that Monaro/Pontiac GTO is some car. At around 67 grand in local semolians, it's about 30 grand too rich for my blood though. I know I'll kick myself in 10 years time when they start appreciating in value. Ah well, never was much good at having the money when the opportunities presented themselves.
