Correct, Reboot
That's why RAID, SSDs, and video transfer are what will benefit from Thunderbolt.
Sorta makes my point - to take advantage of ThunderBolt, ya need to spend some cash on SSD or a Raid. Does Apple plan to start shipping only SSD Macs and ditch all 7200 drives. Seems like ThunderBolt is only for the select few that already have Raids and or those who can afford to buy SSD drives ?

If one is processing video or some other data intensive endeavor that can actually use Thunderbolt they are probably professionals processing data for a hefty price and can afford RAID.
Yes Apple having SSDs would make a difference going to external drives, but for the average consumer it would mainly mean being able to back up to TimeMachine quicker or something, and only if they got an external TB drive. It's a new interface requiring new peripherals that are the same interface. Until the price of TB drives come down it's mainly an interface for those that rely on speedy data transfer to make money.
Since Apple came out with a faster technology, for those of us that can't afford to they should replace all of our external devices with TB ones so that we can use the new technology.
