If you look at the last pic the inverter looks like the one on ebay you linked to. I think the one I linked to at welovemacs is the logic board for it actually. We need to find a parts manual. I'll check later today, gotta run.

You are correct. The one linked to is the main board. I tore the unit down just to see what was what. Frikkin Apple/Chinese Origami mofos!! The unit splits at the bottom but not at the top... you have to hold the bottom open with pressure and slide the unit out while feeding the power cable thru the slot.
Now I can see if there are any loose connection or anything else that may be causing the problem. I thought I would check before ordering the part and also visually match the part with what I order.

OK.. I fixed it with a tiny sliver of paper. laugh
Please read this thread starting from at least page 4 and go until the end. You can see people using this paper fix right up until a few days ago.
So, after reading the thread... should I go ahead with a replacement inverter board? Or the main board? Or just use the paper trick...lol.. and wait till my house catches fire.
Or the 150w power adapter...?

Ugh.
