The story so far…
My 2004 Power Mac G5 tower finally died. RIP.
I now have a brand new 27" i5 iMac! Thanks to MobileMe and Carbon Copy Cloner, I'm up and running in about an hour. I created three partitions on the hard drive. One for Snow Leopard, one for Lion, one for possibly Windows or Linux. Hope I'm doing this right…
I'll have many questions to ask later on, but it sure is nice to be back. I'm loving ever minute!

Steeeeeeellllllllaaaaaa! Naw, just kidding. I can't tell you what I named it. Obama might be listening. Just want to say that I've never had an OSX Mac that opened programs with less than a bounce in the Dock. Very
I do have a lot of questions, but I'll wait until Lion.

Late to the thread...
CONGRATS!!!
I'm not sure how fast your G5 was... but there is no doubt that the speed increase is pretty dramatic.
In another thread you participated in, someone described the size and speed of some of these new machines as "overkill." They were right too. But I'm here to tell everyone that overkill is a very beautiful thing!
