Lion features.

Well, until they make it right, I hope they never sleep at night. They better make some changes and do it soon. -Things Goin' On/Lynyrd Skynyrd

Humm

Wonder if you can buy the Lion disc?
Used to be you could skip a version, now seems like Apple wants to screw you by making you buy every version before upgrading to the next? ?

???? Buy every version? Yes, but Snow Leopard was $29.99 for Leopard users. Lion is $29.99 for as many machines as you own if you have Snow Leopard. That's $58 in three years. cry

They don't make money on the OS, they never have.

Well I used to skip versions, before, sorta bought on DVD every other one so to speak.

Now

I need to have Snow, before buying Lion. Kinda stinks if you asked me. I would understand if I was more than 2 versions behind.

Just like I cannot watch the keynote without snow installed - but I can in h3ll watch the streamed video (ad) for Lion. laugh

I guess I don't see the problem -- just pretend it's a $60 upgrade from what you have to Lion ($30 for Snow Leopard, $30 for Lion), which is about $60 less than you paid for your last OSX upgrade ;-)

Well, for $60 you will be getting 2 OS's! Not bad at all, but yeah, it is too bad that there is no option to skip snow.

I wonder if they will offer it on disc for a slightly higher fee

Its not about the money.

its more about the lost options that we used to have, to skip or wait.

If its not about the money, buy it. You can get Snow leopard and then wait 6 months for Lion to get some updates and then buy it.

Common sense and deodorant are a lot alike. People who need it the most don't use it.
