Sorry but can't see where to post / who to write to.
I forgot my login/password combination so went to create a new account.
The system then informed me that the user name and email address were already taken.
So I sent a request against the email addy to reset my password.
Received the new temporary password and used it to log in to my user name (Irena).
So now I want to reset the temporary password to one which I'll remember.
I selected "Edit User Settings" but the system doesn't recognise either my username OR my email address! What's going on?
I get a red box around the "Username or email address" field with a red message:
"Sorry, unrecognized username or password".
Very confused.

Welcome Irena,

Go to My Stuff above, choose Edit Profile from the drop down menu, you can change your password there.

Glad you got it.

There are separate log ins for the MacTech site and the forums. The Edit User Settings is settings for the MacTech site, subscriptions to emails etc.

If you go to Edit User Settings now can you log in to there and access the functions? There are a couple of small links above your name in the black bar to access the functions, View and Edit.

I don't know why you couldn't get in there before, let us know if you can log in at Edit User Settings now that you have successfully changed the password for here.

Thx

Jim aka Reboot
