That cost me about $100 for the gear - cable and lock, nice, roomy backpack, and a helmet (wife's request).
I knew it was high but a quick google says 62% of all bicycle fatalities are head injuries, and helmets reduce head injury by 85%. Her being a nurse you've got to listen to her on this one, even if she defiles your iron skillet sometimes.

$3.79 give or take a few here in Phoenix. Remember when people were shatting themselves about 5 years ago when it first went over $3 p/gallon? Now we pray it goes back to only $3 per gallon!

$3.58 is the lowest I can find here near Charlottesville, VA. I have heard there is no gas shortage but rising prices are a result of fear of a future shortage. I say bull, they seem to find a reason to increase prices any time they can.

Town Car.... I wish.....my '68 Dodge Polara (only car I own too)with a 383 cubic inch engine 2bbl carb.....gets on a good day 10 mpg on the highway...less in town....I start it up and run back and forth in the drive once a week to keep it limber...but drive it...no....not at these gas prices... oh well it makes a good lawn ornament.
