A Verizon executive hinted Tuesday that the carrier will cease offering unlimited data plans for the iPhone as early as the middle of this summer, while also fueling speculation that Apple will release an updated Verizon iPhone later this year.
They only offered it to start with to entice those old at&t customers that were still grandfathered into their unlimited plans. They most definitely won't keep the unlimited plan around unless at&t brings it back.
Although it would be funny if verizon dumped theirs, and at&t DID bring it back to compete. (unlikely because of how popular streaming video is becoming)
