"Piracy has for centuries been considered a serious offense by most, if not all, states, and pirates were regularly killed or executed after, at most, a perfunctory hearing by the captain of the ship that captured them."
Shoot them! I also think that it's high time for those freighters going through those waters to have armed 'marshals' on board. I find it funny that the picture of those protestors was taken in Hamburg, Germany as it was the home of one of the most notorious pirates in history Klaus Stoertebeker .

I agree, Mike.
I guess the big reason is the sorta new International Maritime Laws? If they where off the US coast, I bet cha, they would be sunk without question. In this case their off into international waters and off sovereign countries - Thats gotta play a huge legal black hole.
IMO After the Mearsk, take over the Pirates now know there is no bargaining with the US - Hence I feel thats why they killed the 4 Americans, when the Navy showed up.
Anyway, I agree Time to start sinking mother ships and none of this just taking weapons off, then setting them free. In a game of attrition the free world will win.
