Good article explaining why Apple can sell iPads cheaper than any competitor's attempt at the same product.
As Steve Jobs famously put it one day, "Apple is the last company in our industry that creates the whole widget." Competitors are having trouble beating the iPad widget.
That's why it's important for Apple to get the iPad 2 right - straight out of the gate... that can stifle the Xoom. We'll see when the specs come out about iPad2... for now... it's a toss up !

geez - charging $500-600 for entry iPad is "dumping" ?? .... and it was that way a year before Xoom announced their price... mmmm totally illogical and unfounded.
Apple new mac book pros coming out thursday are these really rumors or is this the truth? I thought Jobs makes the announcements about the new products? The i pad is a good value for the money.

It has been since April 2010 for the last upgrade so it will be soon. Maybe it's just an announcement.
