Ron Paul = batshlt crazy, right? Palin/Bachmann/fill in their blanks = crazy, also right?
The difference is this ~ Ron Paul really, really believes in what he says, what he preaches, what he runs for office on. He's held these crazy ass views for years now and his peeps keep puttin' him back in office.
Palin/Bachmann/fill in their blanks ~ If they actually even understand the fundamentals of what they say, preach and run for office on, they don't care. They will say, preach and run for office on what ever theFkwill get 'em elected.
So, while I'd probably never vote for Ron Paul, I do respect the man. Forgive the odd rant this AM, I was just inspired.
_________________________ I always deserve it. Really.
I would paint Ron Raul with a similar stand to the likes of Howard Dean and (for those who follow UK politics) Ken Livingstone - you know damn well what you're going to get if you vote for them. They believe what they believe and there's no surprises in the closet.
I don't agree with much of what Ken believes, but I understand why he did what he did and respect him for standing by his convictions.
_________________________ I used to think it was terrible that life was unfair. Then I thought what if life were fair and all of the terrible things that happen came because we really deserved them? Now I take comfort in the general unfairness and hostility of the universe.
