After all these bad news... one might wonder, is the war really necessary? Let me pass on a discussion I had recently!

An Iraqi guy, who has a big family back in Bagdad said they are getting 5 kilos of rice every month as food allowance. They save one handful since 6 month so that they can through it at the Americans to greet them this way. Rice is a very positive symbol in the arab world. They can't wait for the allied forces. This guy was really angry at the Mall cruising Gulf arabs for preaching anti-war propaganda: "They know nothing about the life in Iraq, let them speak for themselves. We Iraqis are happy for the Americans coming to save our nation." He also said he understands my frustration, because I can't say what I think, because he feels the same.

This opinion confirms the opinion of every single Iraqi I could talk to.

Support the allied forces, disregard the peace protesters!

I admit I was getting a little sick to my stomach hearing about all the casualities today- and then I'm hearing about all the underhanded measures by which our boys were paying 'the ultimate sacrifice'...

Fake surrendering...bah! Those guys just ruined it for any Iraqi soldiers who actually want to surrender. U.S. Marines might not be so willing to accept that white flag next time, and just open fire.

A real shame.

Such is war. I still believe in the cause, but I hope it's over real soon.

[color:red]Hold on, it's time for a

In reply to:

I hope it's over real soon

We all want it to be over soon. I don't think it will be over as soon as we would like it to be, the battle for Baghdad is going to take time and there will be a lot more dead.

War sucks, Bush sucks, Saddam sucks.
