Running iMovie 6.0.3 on Mac OS 10.6.5. I cannot hear any audio, even audio files I import. I can extract the audio from clips but cannot get any sound. Audio channels are both checked.

Had this worked for you before or is this something new you're trying to do? Did it work in 10.6.4?
When you extract the audio does it play in QT or anything?

I had something similar.
I ran disk repair and rebooted - then unplugged the (external) speakers from the iMac and re-plugged - Worked. This was when the (sound panel) did not recognize the external speakers and the internal one either.
