Local stuff, but the same things are probably going on everywhere. Florida voters voted in favor of two constitutional amendments to prevent gerrymandering of voting districts. Our own elected reps are trying to overturn that vote.
There's a documentary coming out called Gerrymandering** and it describes how BOTH political parties make back room deals on disctricting every 10 years... The "buy line" is it's the most sure way to rig future elections short of outright Fraud !

Sounds interesting I know how Texas got theirs... originally it was much bigger and extended up into Colorado and maybe Wyoming... in 1844 it covered parts of Oklahoma and Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.
