So far, Apache and PHP are doing fine. Perl is even working. Now I'm attempting to install MySQL 3.23.47. I've downloaded the package (mysql-3.23.47-apple-darwin5.1-powerpc.tar.gz), 'busted it open', and now I have another folder called mysql-3.23.47-apple-darwin5.1-powerpc with all this 'stuff' in it.
Now what? What do now? I've been trying to follow a set of instructions, but nothing I do works. Evidently the instructions were not written for this machine.
I know this is probably elementary to everyone else, but I'm dumb as a rock, and need advice.
