Last week, Apple (AAPL, Fortune 500) reported an all-time sales record of $20 billion, on the back of its popular gadget lineup. It was the first time Apple's quarterly sales topped Microsoft's.
Still to late.
Well I do give MS some credit - took them 10 years for an better Clown Suit for XP - Vista fail like a mud pig - I am really happy that Pcers now have a decent (cough OSX) experience with Win7 <-- I think thats great and them poor MS fan boys needed a long long over due rip off.
That is the reason for this double digit sales --> the rush to get what was due a long time ago. Next year or after the installed base has upgraded, the sales will fall flat like last year.
MS sales were up because businesses avoided upgrading to Vista, and so the OS hadn't been feasibly upgraded for what--a decade? Windows 7 is reaping the benefit of 10 years' worth of delayed purchasing.
