Smartphones - $15 for 150MB and $29 for unlimited. So, essentially unchanged except you can pay less if you really do use less. 150 megs? I'm at about 6 gig this month. Had to tether a lot.
I wonder if this is going to push AT&T to go back to unlimited plans?

I wonder if these data plans were in place before the iPhone? or did the iPhone create these new plans.
I remember before you paid for texting, thats about it. Then again I did not have a Black Berry either, so I don't know if there was a data plan back then?
AT&T's previous unlimited plan was $30, so that's not much of a savings there. I kind of wish that AT&T would bring back unlimited, but then again, if I had an iPad, I probably would ditch the iPhone and get a basic one again.
What's not official.. iPhone at Verizon? Yeah, it's a done deal... my cousin has worked for them for about 10 years and he was telling me last week that he saw some things that tell him it is a done deal. Contracts and all.
I think the 150MB is a bit low, the 200MB AT&T plan is probably "just right" for most average users. For those that need tethering, yeah - the unlimited is the only way to go.
And yes, the Verizon deal is now done - we'll see them in February (don't know when they'll ship though). I have a feeling the white iPhone will finally get released as the "VeriziPhone"
