Did anyone read the Popular Science run down between the iMac and the Sony Vaio Hub thing (I didn't even know Sony was making one... isn't it funny how everyone copies Apple 90% of the time?)

I didn't read all of it, just the first and last page, but it seems that this article claims that the Sony is better at organizing photos and editing home movies than the iMac, and the author seems to be completely slanted towards the VAIO...

The reviewer even states that he'd rather have the VAIO over the iMac, if given his druthers... at $3400 no doubt...

what's your take on this idiot's article?

read the article. I own a VAIO and an iMac. both the PC and iMac are the same price (not like in the article), the iMac wins hands down.

my view of the author of the article - typical long time PC user admits that iMac is better for the dollar, but compares it with an expensive PC, to make the PC the winner.

Wonder what he would have said had he compared the dual 1Ghz PowerMac with a Cinema display to the PC.

[color:red]Sometimes you're the windshield; sometimes you're the bug

Article is lame; no doubt. :)

I used to watch Pop Sci on Discovery for a number of years and browse the magazines at the American Consulate Library, and I feel that for general home science and stuff, they do a good job.

But as I (and most of you might) have noticed in the past 2 years, most media houses are going the way of the dodo.

--
I am dangerous. Anyone that claims it's easier to handle photographs and video on a Windows box needs a little less "popular" and a little more "science."

And that's true too.--Shakespeare, King Lear
