After being pet-less for 3 years, my wife finally caved on Saturday and went and got one of the kittens from my daughter. She's about 8 weeks old, the runt, and full of piss and vinegar. If I can get her to stay still long enough, I'll try to get a picture later. This morning, she has decided that my lap is her home.

Took our 20+ yr old cat to the vet last week*. They had 2 kittens there for adoption. They are so cute and fun to watch, but then they get big and take lots of responsibility. Once Smokey is gone, we have 1 more- William - that is about 15-16. Once he's gone- no more.. we love them but they do take a toll. My wife said any other pets we get are totally outdoor animals ! After we relocate to Texas- I'm thinking a medium to large yard dog. wink
* we're having to do 100-150 cc ID injections (back) every other day (at home) to keep her hydrated... NOT fun !! frown But she is looking lots better !! more pep too !

Introducing "Cali-Wag:"

Cali for calico (Betsy's name) and Wag for Wags (Penny's name because her tail wags when she runs).

Cute cat. Been thinking of getting a pet but then I think of all the responsibility .

Every time I would knave the house I would have to deal with it

Renal failure is the most common form of death in cats. Good for you guys to do that for her.

Very cute kitten.

Last time we lost one of our cats to old age, I wanted to get another kitten, but my wife wouldn't let me. It might outlive us, she said.

That put things in perspective!

As far as cats go, she is adorable. Those are some ears! Oops, did she hear me say that?
