Flash 10.1 runs pretty good. I can see where it might be sluggish on an original droid with 1/2 the CPU of newer phones, but any new phone should run it fine. Also all those negative reviews I had read about flash were using version 10 - which was a BETA. 10.1 works a lot better.
I was just playing some flash games. Aside from having to wait a minute or two for them to load if they were large, they ran smooth. The biggest issue of course is my phone is touch screen, so if you need keys obviously they won't work. If it's a point an click game, works fine though.
Our company website loads and plays great, it's even easy to navigate via touch - but of course there are plenty of sites that won't be. Then again, poor navigation design isn't flash's fault.

I believe Apple big deal was.
1 - Flash security - which Adobe recently made 7 patches. So should be okay now?
2 - Resource hog - which Adobe recently came out with 10.1. So should be okay now?
Anyway After Steve made those statements Adobe went to work on Flash. Weather or not there still are security holes - I dunno. But it is a huge concern for enterprise users.
Well, I really don't like flash much because it's always been piss poor on Macs, while even old PC's play it fairly well.
There are security holes in HTML5 too, and 10.1 on mobile runs fairly well. I suspect it'd run great on the iPhone 4 and iPad. The 3GS? Probably not so much.

Not so sure - I used PCs for as long as I had Macs - Flash does not play to well either on those PC machines. So maybe you have these favored sites that work well for you and thats all you visit? ? I dunno
In fact I had more crashes on a PC using IE, while searching for construction products, than I ever had using a Mac. <- go figure.

Every video I've seen (unless it was specifically made for mobile) has run like crap …if it ran at all. What's the point of having to create mobile-tweaked versions of flash content when the whole reason for Flash on phones was to run existing websites/content. Not only that, but you are introducing more security holes as well.
"But I want it for games" …I have yet to see a Flash game worth playing more than 5 minutes, and with tens of thousands of iOS games available the point is moot. Not to mention all the crappy Flash games that WILL be coming to the app store since Apple relaxed their rules.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that video shows the beta release of the flash player, which was considerably slower because of the debug code. The latest release works a lot smoother, not to mention new phones have more capable cpu/gpu than the nexus one, even though that phone came out in January. The Nexus does not have a GPU like the Droid, iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phones, which Adobe has stated flash needs to have.
That's like comparing a brand new multi core PC with the greatest video card to an iMac bondi and saying "see macs suck, look how much smoother this PC plays HD video!"

Millions of Farmville players would probably disagree with you.
Which brings up something interesting - when I gave my wife her iPod Touch, she was initially able to log into Farmville and a few other facebook games. That was until her first update. Hmmm.

That story was from Aug 31, when did it get out of beta? Not that I really think that matters because any other beta I've been in lately doesn't magically become better once it hits GM.
Maybe the phones coming out right now do indeed work better with Flash, but I haven't seen any stories pop up saying the contrary. Found this video of an EVO 4G Flash test
