I can't get 'saved photos' from my Touch to my Mac. There seems to be all kinds of software for Windows to accomplish this but most of the OS X software just lets me get music and videos off the Touch onto the Mac. Is there an easy ('free') way to do this other than e-mailing them to myself and saving them on the computer.
Have you tried ImageCapture [it probably won't work] but . . .
I just read that if you put photos on your Touch they are "optimized" for Touch viewing and if you bring back to Mac you have not got the same as original pics.
You're not talking a new iPod Touch with a camera are you?
Just trying to think of things to ask, Mike [ smile]
When the cable's connected you can get photos off an iphone using the Image Capture app if they've been taken with the phone's camera - but it's true, certainly on the iphone the images that are stored from the mac onto the phone (as opposed to taken with the phone's camera) are all scaled down (or up, if they're tiny to start with).
I don't know how you can get the thumbnails from an iphone or ipod touch off there easily except via ssh, and even then they're ion a proprietary format, so you'd need software to convert them to jpgs or whatever.

Unfortunately it's the old 2G Touch. From what I read I gather that once they're one the Touch, they're compressed and not all that useful for printing etc.; i.e.: they're just too small. It's kind of strange though that with additional software I can pull just about anything off the Touch except those 'saved photos'. (I'd love to have the new iPod Touch... )
