I was trying to think of a way to reply to that and "hypernormal" fits the bill. I would love California if only the rest of the state was like the Bay area. The rest of the world? I wish it only took ten years for the rest of us to catch up.

I think of the Mass Bay Area like a kind of Bay Area with a bow tie instead of a g-string. And that reminds me of the first Andy Warhol movie I saw . . . but that's a different story.
