Back when the forums at MC first began, I was Ethel and said I never really liked my name. The guys said I could be whatever I wanted to be -- after all it is a forum and the internet!!
So I liked Katharine Hepburn in the movies and decided to be Kate. I think I used Katharine too. Also various forms with Oregon in my name. I really didn't want to be a Pooh Bah and wear that silly hat so when I neared the count which automatically would have made me a PB, I changed my name. People always knew it was me, though.
Ah, the miserable cretins we put up with back then. IntellectInside was in a class by himself. No one could have possibly sock puppeted that miserable piece of shiit. That would have required some talent. Our sock puppets had none of that.
: Seriously man, I think you're still a right winger and can't get over it.
Introspection, and every social/political quiz I've taken, tells me otherwise. The Political Compass says I'm Left/Libertarian, for example. That's a bit off, as I'm no Ghandi. I'd call myself moderate/progressive, more of a centrist.
in a later post in that thread he notes he didn't vote for Bush in 2004.
macopz? Man people get around on forums (fora). This place is, and only General Discussion at that, is more than enough for me.
I don't know about political fora (fauna?) specifically, but some people do change their views overtime and due to exchanges they have had with people of differing opinions. But they usually won't admit it, as is human nature I guess. Years ago, I still stuck staunchly to the death penalty when most of my other views were pretty lefty liberal, but one friend of mine convinced me slowly over the course of several arguments that I was wrong, though I never really admitted it to her or maybe even realized myself that I was coming around. She caught me a few years later stating pretty much the opposite opinion of the one I had to a 3rd party and I had to fess up.

Glad you came around on the death penalty. You are a better person for it. Now about the plural of forum. It is forums. The plural of virus is viruses (if you were unclear.) Listen to yoyo, he is the chair of the english department. (Well unless he contradicts me. Then he is just wrong.)
