I see no one is mourning the demise of the Kin. It was DOA.

Seriously, I read it last night, but I can't find the link now. Highlights ~ It debuted in May, officially dumped this week. Two versions, two different pricing schemes, both expensive considering they were aiming for the "young" market (mall rats don't make a lot of $). They melded the thing with Sidekick, and that took a year and a half, and that was after a year of negotiations to assimilate the business side of the deal. Close to a three years from inception to launch.

I don't even remember hearing about this little sucker, before Michael's post. Then I spotted a story about it, late last night.

Even if I weren't a MacFanGirl, I'd still look as what passes for the MS business model these last five years and shake my head. The death of a thousand cuts, and all self-inflicted.
